Windows Vista 硬件评估解决方案加速器是一个可以列出清单、进行评估以及生产报告的工具，帮助网络管理者有效地检测一个网络中的多台计算机（最多1万台）是否已准备好运行 Windows Vista 操作系统。Windows Vista 硬件评估使用 Microsoft Windows中的技术。这些技术包括 Microsoft Active Directory 域名服务、 Computer Browser 服务，以及 Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)。

目前，Windows Vista 硬件评估 2.0 Beta 版发布。可以通过 Connect 网站参加公开测试。正式版本预计于2007年下半年发布。
